Arcentry for Alibaba Cloud

Create Alibaba Cloud architecture diagrams with every connection in view.

Bring your Alibaba Cloud applications, networks, and data services into one understandable diagram. Visualize ECS workloads, ACK clusters, and the systems around them in 2D or 3D for architecture reviews, migrations, and team documentation.

Alibaba Cloud diagrams for applications and platforms

An Alibaba Cloud architecture diagram can explain a single ECS application, a platform built around ACK, or the connections between several environments. The useful starting point is the workload and the people who need to understand it.

Arcentry lets you arrange Alibaba Cloud components, add labels and directional connections, and group resources into named areas. Create a 2D diagram for a design document or an isometric 3D view for a discussion where people need to explore the relationships.

Make the deployment location and data flow explicit

Label regions, VPCs, and vSwitches where they matter to the architecture. Show the load balancer, application tier, and database dependencies so readers can trace a request through the system. Keep network placement and logical application groups clearly named.

For a deployment across regions or providers, mark the real endpoints and describe the connection between them. Label data replication, requests, and messaging separately. This gives engineering and operations teams a shared view of the design without relying on assumptions about where data moves.

Include the systems around Alibaba Cloud

Your architecture may also include a data center, a third-party API, or an open-source service. Bring those components into the same view and explain which Alibaba Cloud workloads rely on them. This is particularly useful when planning a migration or handing an application over to another team.

Export the diagram as an image or share an interactive embed in documentation. Use Arcentry’s REST API when you want to maintain diagram objects from your own systems, and explore the free plan to start building.

Architecture ideas

Explore views for a web application, a Kubernetes platform, and a deployment spanning regions or environments. Use the pattern that makes your next design conversation clearer.

Diagram placeholder ECS web application Alibaba Cloud architecture example

ECS web application

Follow application traffic through a Server Load Balancer to ECS instances and ApsaraDB RDS. Include OSS for stored assets, and label the VPC and vSwitch boundaries that explain how the application tiers are arranged.

Diagram placeholder ACK container platform Alibaba Cloud architecture example

ACK container platform

Map an ACK cluster with Container Registry, ingress, backing databases, and a messaging service. Separate the platform view from the individual application services so readers can understand both deployment responsibilities and runtime dependencies.

Diagram placeholder Regional and hybrid deployment Alibaba Cloud architecture example

Regional and hybrid deployment

Show an application deployed in more than one region, or connected to a data center through Express Connect. Label the actual locations, connectivity, and data flows so teams can review the scope of each environment and its dependencies.

From design to documentation

Make your Alibaba Cloud design easier to follow.

  1. Describe the deployment

Choose ECS, ACK, or serverless components and place the supporting services beside them. Include the external APIs and existing infrastructure that the application uses, so the diagram has a useful scope from the start.

  2. Label regions and responsibilities

Use areas for VPCs, application tiers, or regional deployments. Name the boundaries and connections, making it clear which parts represent network placement, ownership, and the flow of requests or data.

  3. Share a view your team can maintain

Export an image for a technical proposal or embed an interactive diagram in documentation. Update selected labels, objects, and metadata through the REST API when you want to connect the view to your own workflow.

Keep your architecture grounded

Pair your diagram with the provider's technical guidance.

Can I create Alibaba Cloud or Aliyun architecture diagrams?

Yes. Alibaba Cloud is also known as Aliyun. Use Arcentry's Alibaba Cloud components to show services such as Elastic Compute Service, ACK, and OSS, alongside the rest of your application.

Can I show ECS and ACK in the same diagram?

Yes. Virtual machine workloads and Kubernetes applications can share the canvas. Add databases, networking, and messaging dependencies, then group resources to explain how the applications and platform fit together.

Can I diagram Alibaba Cloud alongside another provider?

Yes. Combine Alibaba Cloud with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, Cloudflare, or on-premise systems. Label the environments and the connections between them to explain a migration or a system spanning multiple providers.

Will Arcentry discover my Alibaba Cloud resources automatically?

This page describes manual diagramming with Alibaba Cloud components. You can also create and update diagram objects through Arcentry's REST API using information supplied by your own systems. Drawing a diagram does not require a cloud account connection.

Can I use the Alibaba Cloud diagram tool for free?

Yes. Arcentry offers a free plan with no credit card required. Start with a small architecture diagram and check the pricing section for current item and diagram limits.
